BFWStyle News: Style Tribe Celebration is Only Two Weeks Away

For weeks, Saran Fossett, the executive producer of Baltimore's Fashion Week, has been in the search for the hottest boutiques in Baltimore to participate in the kick off celebration for the first ever Baltimore's Fashion Week on Saturday, July 12, 2008. Some of the boutiques that will be participating are: Gentei, Cupcake, and Babe. With only two weeks left, Sharan Nixon, the president of Baltimore's Fashion Week and Fossett have been working together on production to make sure this event will be memorable for the residents of Baltimore City that attend.

On June 14th and earlier today, the first and second fitting sessions for designers occurred. Baltimore's Fashion Week would like to thank all the designers and models for attending! There is still time to fit models, if designers did not attend either one of the first two sessions.

10 AM - 1 PM 3rd floor All models 5'8" and taller 0-8 Females

12:15 PM - 2:15PM 4th Floor All models 5'8" and taller 10-18 Females (plus size)

1:15 PM - 4 PM 3rd Floor All models 5'7" and under 0-8 Females

BFWStyle News: Designer Line Up is Revealed

On Saturday, June 7, 2008, the designers of Baltimore's Fashion Week met with the Design Team to have their collections reviewed and to have their collections placed on one of the four fashion runway showcases. The "Designer Line-Up" is finally updated with the designer's date for showing along with the category they will be showcasing in. The order of the designers are tentative. The times when designers are showcasing are still within the planning process. Baltimore's Fashion Week would like to thank all the designers that came out to attend the garment review meeting!

If you were unable to attend the garment review meeting, you still have a chance to be placed. In order to receive proper placement, you will need to e-mail the following:

Photos of your collection. If your collection is not ready, please send us three (3) to five (5) photos of garments from your collection that show a strong representation of your collection.
How many looks you plan to show?
How many models you will need?
Explain your vision for your collection. This brief statement will aide us in determining proper placement during fashion week.

BFWStyle News: Attention All Designers! AD space is available in Baltimore's Fashion Week Magazine

Baltimore's first inaugural Baltimore's Fashion Week would not be complete with a magazine. The Baltimore's Fashion Week Design Team is producing a 64 page, 8.5 x 11, full color souvenir magazine. This magazine will be placed in all of the VIP bags for our guests during the week-long schedule of events from Monday, August 11, 2008 through Friday, August 11, 2008. This souvenir magazine will also be used as marketing purposes for the promotion of next year's Baltimore's Fashion Week. BFWStyle News: Attention All Designers! Garment Review this Saturday!

At the Forrest Park Senior Center on Saturday, June 7th, 2008, there will be a MANDATORY Designer Garment Review Meeting for all registered designers of Baltimore's Fashion Week. Remember, all designers DESIGNER PROFILE SHEETS are due by June 5th, 2008! Seams must be clean and finished. Review times will be in 30 minute increments, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Each designer will be meeting with the review board behind closed doors. DESIGNERS MUST BRING THEIR ENTIRE COLLECTION WITH THEM!
